Need a laugh???

let me clear my throat.

well here goes, again haven't written for a while, been busy, very busy.  wtih werk and such i hardly have the time to clean my place.  which reminds me.....i have to do that sometime soon.  uh, well i shall start with werk.  between tons of calls and e-mails a day from customers, i think i have time to eat.  but i still love it.  i got an interested phone call the other day....goes a little something like this....

guy on the phone:  hello mr. white

me: hello, what can i help you with?

guy:  do you have a few minutes i would like to extend an opportunity your way.

me: well i am at work, so you will have to make it kinda brief.

guy: i can do that.  well mr. white i see here that you work in this field, and one of your current clients has nothing but great things to say about you.

me: well that's really nice, but why couldn't they have told me themselves?

guy: well the purpose of my call is this.....i am calling to see if you would be interested in working for them.  you will make x amount of dollars on each sale....etc..etc...

me:  first of all, i am flattered that one of my clients thinks so highly of me tell them thank you.  secondly, i am not currently looking for a job i have been wanting to work for this company since my college days.  there isn't enough money that you could promise me that would take me away from it.  thirdly, i am at work, and you called me on my work phone to ask me if i wanted to work for another company.  that is disrespectful not only to me, but my company.  again, i am flattered, but no thank you.

guy: well my company did mention that you are loyal, and that you would have said that very thing.  but you are making a big mistake, you could be making.......

me:  that's a good story, but again, i am not interested, thank you for your time.

end.

in other news.  since the last time i wrote, lots of cool things happening at church.  i have been the opening announcement guy once, for both services that we offer on sundays.  that was fun.  i am scheduled to do it againt twice this coming month.  i am awfully excited.

also in other church news.  i have been asked to consider accepting a part time youth director position at my church.  this position would mean that for 15 hours a week i would work on activities and assembly of a team to work with the youth of my church.  i am excited for the opportunity, i just wonder about the time.  i would still do the weekly teen bible study that i have as well, because i would miss the face to face discussion with the youth. 

well, this took longer than i thought, i probably have more to share, but.....i can't gotta work sometime.

If not, you should enlighten yourself!!!  I mean a person who loved Jeff Buckley's music can't be wrong right??
